Memorial Team Open Competition
The Memorial Team Open Competition was played on Sunday 2nd October 2016. The competition is played in memory of those members that have sadly passed away.

Open Weekend - Individual Stableford
The final day of the 2016 Builth Wells Golf Club Open Weekend saw the playing of the Heart of Wales Trophy, individual stableford, full handicap.
The 2016 winner was home Club member Don Harris with a fine score of 43 points. Don pipped local lady member Hayley Price on the back nine, Hayley also scoring a tremendous 43 points. Full results:

Open Weekend - Mixed Greensomes
Day 3 of 4 in the 2016 Builth Wells Golf Club Open Weekend saw the playing of the Hugh Vaughan Mixed Greensomes Medal. 68 pairs participated representing 34 different golf clubs from across the UK. Winning the trophy for the 2nd time were Tony Hill (Cocksmoor Woods) & Christine Henderson (Kings Norton) with a net score of 64.5. The winners of the gross competition with a score of 78 were Malcolm & Elsbeth Morton (Formby & Formby Ladies). Full results:

Open Weekend - 4 B/B/B Pairs
Day 2 of the 2016 Open Weekend saw the playing of the Jim Downs Cup (Men) & Manchester Trophy (Ladies). 101 pairs took part representing 37 different golf clubs from across the UK. Winning the Jim Downs Cup with an unbelievable score of 48 stableford points was home club pair Rhys Davies (19) & Tom Samuel (7); winning the ladies Manchester Trophy with 42 points was Pam Etchingham (18) & Mary Hawkes (11) representing Lutterworth Golf Club, Leicestershire.
